Solving Equations and Inequalities
Linear Equations/Functions
Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities


Algebra 1 B:
Exponents and Exponential Functions
Polynomials and Factoring
Quadratic Functions
Solving Quadratic Equations
Statistics (If Time Allows)

Grading

20% - Daily Work
  • Activities - sometimes we will complete activities in class to learn content
  • Notes - Notes are important to help you prepare for assessments
  • Assignments/Homework - Assignments are an opportunity to practice the content we learn. You will have some class time to work but some may need to be completed outside of class. Assignments are due the next class period.

    • 80% - Assessments
  • Quizzes - given periodically to assess what the students have learned
  • Tests - At the end of each unit, we will have an Individual Test to show mastery of content. If you are absent the day of the test, you are responsible for making arrangements with the teacher to take the test.
  • Projects - Assigned to deepen understanding of concepts

    • Supplies

  • Binder/Folder (keep notes and work organized)
  • Paper/Pencils
  • Calculator (Optional)

    • Expectations

  • Come to class prepared - bring all the material you will need to class
  • Treat other with respect - treat others the way you want to be treated and respect others' opinions and property
  • Be Responsible - Be on time in your desk, complete work on time, communicate with me if there are any problems
  • Keep a Positive Attitude

    • Classroom Procedures

  • Water is acceptable; any other food or drink please notify me as you enter the classroom
  • School Policies will be followed for tardies, cheating, and electronic devices
  • Hall Passes - one student out at a time
  • Notes - Notes will be completed during class and are important for quizzes/tests
  • Missing/Late Work - All work for the unit must be completed prior to the Unit Test
